Ptex Rendering and Lighting of the Bust of Medusa

Ptex texturing of the Bust of Medusa at The Musei Capitolini, Rome using Mari.
Once textured, the statue was rendered in Maya using renderman as the render of choice.
Also experimented with different lighting techniques including 3-Point Lighting, Butterfly Lighting, Loop Lighting, Split Lighting and Rembrandt lighting.
The model used is a 3D scan of the statue, obtained by the Scan the World which is a community-built initiative whose mission is to share 3D printable sculpture and cultural artifacts using democratized 3D scanning technologies
